  • Question

  • Hello,

Despite the fact that I have respected the following prerequisites in the installation *.msi :

    - Windows6.1-KB2533623-x64.msu
    - Windows6.1-KB2670838-x64.msu
    - Windows6.1-KB2729094-v2-x64.msu
    - Windows6.1-KB2731771-x64.msu
    - Windows6.1-KB2786081-x64.msu
    - Windows6.1-KB2834140-v2-x64.msu

IE11_main.log display the following message when deploying IE11 on W7 Pro (x64) with SCCM :

00:00.562: ERROR:   System version and prerequisite validation checks failed.
00:00.593: INFO:    Setup exit code: 0x00009C44 (40004) - Old OS Version.
00:00.905: INFO:    Scheduling upload to IE SQM server: http://sqm.microsoft.com/sqm/ie/sqmserver.dll
00:06.037: ERROR:   SQM Upload failed while uploading "D:\Users\Default\AppData\Local\Microsoft\Windows\Temporary Internet Files\SQM\iesqmdata_setup0.sqm" with error: 2147500036

Could it really be a OS version issue ?

    Please, help me,

    Best regards

  • Hi,

Does this occur on every machine? Make sure your Windows 7 has service pack 1 installed correctly. If you have SP1 installed, it seems the installer is having trouble picking up SP1 on the laptop.

If this happened to specific computer, we had same case resolved by re-installing Service pack. Run SFC and check SFC log before you re-install and if it work so we can avoid re-installing risk.

    Regards,
