Continuous Event ID 2436 & 2424 warnings RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hello,

I have two Windows Small Business Server 2008 servers that repeatedly log Event IDs 2436 and 2424. Here is what Event ID 2436 says:

The start address <sts3s://remote.xxx.com:987/contentdbid={50edfe00-dc9d-4071-9483-4851e8ee638b}> cannot be crawled.
Context: Application 'Search index file on the search server', Catalog 'Search'
Access is denied. Verify that either the Default Content Access Account has access to this repository, or add a crawl rule to crawl this repository. If the repository being crawled is a SharePoint repository, verify that the account you are using has "Full Read" permissions on the SharePoint Web Application being crawled. (0x80041205)

This is what the second Event ID reads:

The update cannot be started because the content sources cannot be accessed. Fix the errors and try the update again.
Context: Application 'Search', Catalog 'index file on the search server Search'

Both of these event IDs are logged every five minutes and have been showing up for quite some time.

    Thank you!
