SharePoint 2007 and a locked file only on one workstation RRS feed

    When I try to edit one excel document, it says that it is checked out by someone and that I cannot edit the document.  However, if I go to another computer and go to that site/document, I can edit the document without any issues.  What can i do to fix this?

    From my recollection likely cause for this was Excel file interrupted while downloading from server and opening in client application. Workaround was download copy of file from working machine and delete old file from server. Finally upload your fresh copy. If file has version control make sure to have latest.
