Blue screen shows messages (errors)....closes too fast to read RRS feed

  • Question

  • Upon booting: after the "Windows XP is starting" screen (the one with the blue progress bar) yet before my Desktop is displayed.....I get a blue screen with one or more messages.

However, it's too fast & I can not read the message(s).....¿How can I increase the display time?

    Thanks, in advance.

  • Press F8 during boot-up to get the XP Boot Menu, then select the option to disable Automatic Restart.

  • Did not help....disabled Automatic Restart....have no "System Errors", no doubt.  Must be some other type error, still closes too fast to read it.

  • The point of disabling 'Automatic restart on system failure' is the the blue screen does not close!!!  It's the automatic restart that causes the blue screen to close.  Worth trying again to make absolutely sure.
