Wapshere Powershell Activity help needed RRS feed

  • General discussion

  • Hi,

I am trying to create a mailbox for a user using the following:

From the FIM server (Sync/Service/Portal on same server) the FIMService account can create a mailbox using powershell and runas.

I have registered all the components as per guide.

Here is the rest of my setup:

    C:\FIM\Exchange.ps1 that contains:

    $Session = New-PSSession -ConfigurationName Microsoft.Exchange -ConnectionUri http://<FQDN of Exchange 2010 server>/PowerShell/ -Authentication Kerberos

    Import-PSSession $Session

The Worklow Activity is as follows:

    Powershell cmdlet: C:\FIM\exchange.ps1

Powershell Parameters: enable-mailbox -identity adatum\$accountName -database 'mailbox database'

    powershell remote server address: <blank>

    powershell remote user: <blank>

    powershell remote password: <blank>

Now the FIM Requests completes without error, but the mailbox is not created.

Please could someone help me out?

    Kind thanks,

  • Although I haven't used Carol Wapshere's Powershell activity, it looks like you'll want to move the "Powershell parameters" bit to the bottom of the script in Exchange.ps1, and pass the account name as the parameter.

As it stands, Exchange.ps1 does not "do" anything.

  • Thank you Steve, I eventually settled on the FIM Codeplex Powershell Activity.
