IE 10 + 11 Group Policy Settings for Proxy Servers RRS feed

  • Question

  • I've got Windows 2003 and 2008 R2 Domain controllers. I understand to control IE 10 and 11 now I need to update the admin templates. I've downloaded the IE template download for 2008 and installed the msi on the 2008 server.

If I go into group policy I can see the hundreds of IE settings under Windows Components \ Internet Explorer but I cannot see anywhere that I can set the Proxy settings.

We use a web filter so I need to ensure all our clients go through this, as per with IE 9 etc. Am I missing something here, I cannot find the proxy settings. Can anyone direct to me?

    Thanks

  • With WSUS you can control the Windows Updates, including automatic installation of a new internet eplorer version.

Users without admin rights cannot install IE 10 or 11 manually.
