Classification Categories based on user role RRS feed

  • is it possible to limit which classification categories a user will see based on a queue or user role. More specifically different users see different categories when creating an incident.

    As far as I am aware, you can only separate the classification categories for the portal users from those, used within the console incident form. This can be easily accomplished using this guide:

    Creating a User Classification Field Using the Authoring Tool

    You can of course create your custom lists and use them for your work items, like described here:

    Creating Service Manager Lists with the Service Manager List Maker tool

    I know this is not what you are looking for. Out of the box it is not possible to achieve this. It would be interesting if this can somehow be accomplished using form templates, based on customized work items. Still this will include lots of authoring...
