I have a mining model for which a filter has been applied. In the predicted values returned strictly for the model, the filter appears to be successful. However, if executing PredictHistogram() on the predicted value, the histograms each include
all of the excluded values, as though there were no filter applied at all. Also, on the Mining Model Viewer tab, when exploring the data, the Value lists for Value 1 and Value 2 both include all members, even those that were previously filtered out.
Selecting both values to be excluded members does result in no data displayed in the viewer, but I would think those values should not appear in the dropdowns since they were excluded entirely from the model with the filter.
Is there any known issue surrounding this behavior, or for some reason, is this expected behavior? If so, is there documentation describing this that I can reference?
PS This problem happens with the neural network algorithm in my current investigation, but has also been reported for other algorithms, and so I think it is not specific to any one algorithm.
I have seen similar issues with the filter in Visual Studio -- if you can replicate the steps with Adventure Works and then post an issue to
https://connect.microsoft.com/ then post back the link here so that people can vote for an investigation.
