Project Online : Importing historical data from excel file into Project Online RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hello Experts,

Seeking your expert advice on following scenario.

    • Project data is currently managed using single file, with multiple worksheets.
    • There are around 200 projects with 17000 tasks
    • Time phased data is being updated by resource on daily basis
    • Date range is from 2008 till date
    • Multiple resources can report time on single task if assigned

Currently I am thinking about first creating local mpp files and then import the mpp file into Project online which I think can be done by using macro.

What would be the best approach to migrate this historical data into Project Online, would be great if  this process can be automated

Do we have any third party tools?

    Please advice.

    Thanks,
