Windows 7 Restart Error RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hi,

I recently built a new Window 7 PC, and the computer is randomly restarting.  It could be while playing games or randomly browsing the internet.  I have used for hours between crashes, and sometimes less than half an hour.  I checked RealTemp, and the temperature has not risen above 50c during use.

I am not receiving BSOD or blank screen, or any other error messages.  My monitor will be broken up into 14 vertical sections just before the restart.  The "odd" vertical sections are made up of several blurry horizontal lines, and the "even" display normally (whatever was on the screen at the time).  This screen will last a few seconds before the PC restarts.  My setup is as follows:

    Gigabyte H55-USB3 v2.0 (bios F7)

    Intel i3 -530

    Geil Value Plus DDR3 1333MHz 2x2GB

    Windows Home 7 Premium 32bit
