  i get the above error message on an old game from the Adventure Company.  Treasure Island

  it looks like it is looking for all the directx code to be installed in the computer, not just the dx9 or 11 that win7 and other

  apps install.

  can anyone decode the error message and give me a way of solving the error, even if it's just faking the software out.

  i doubt there is a way of making win7 32 load all the old code from day 1 for directx but it sure would be nice.
