  • Hi,
Can anyone please tell me what all this is & what to do?
STOP: 0x000000C5, 0X968B8486, 0X00000002, 0X00000001, 0x8054BBB9--With these error codes came some details regarding a corrupt driver, I don't know much about computers and need help.
After, the computer shutdown, I restarted and got the following message
This sytem has recovered from a serious error
    BCCode 100000c5
(some more code which I will submit if need be)

When I googled it(bold type) I got this site and bleepingcomputer saying it is a virus.
I tried searching in Microsoft to no avail, I did not send error report as requested.
I have been receiving the original(first) error since the tech guy installed my new hard drive and wireless card. Had another guy look at it and said it was fine?? Help
I have a Dell & this is the second hard drive that I have had to replace. If that means anything to this situation other than its ____
First two hard drives from Dell, last one is a Sata 300

    Running Windows XP SP3
    MBAM. Spybot S&D, AVG, PSI

Thanks in advance for your advice

  • Run the Dell diagnostics on your computer and if you don't get any errors reimage your harddrive. If it's a laptop hold the FN key down while you power it on and it will go into the diagnostics if it's a desktop you need the diag disk. This is assuming you can't boot to safe mode to run a virus scan our check your drivers.
