Persian Calender for MSP RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hello

In MSP 2010 in addition of Gregorian Calender there are two  Calender: Hijri and Thai.

Now I want to add Persian Calendar (Calender of my region) to MSP Calendars. Do you have any experience in this field? I know algorithms for programming Persian calender or changing other calendars to Persian but I want to know how to add Persian calendar and with what format.

there are some companies that changed hijri calender to Persian and when you open option in MSP you will see Persian calender instead of hijri calender. i want to know how they did this.

    Thank you

  • Hello Hamedfazelm,

There is no Persian Language Pack for Office 2010 and Persian Calendar is not included in Project. I would suggest you search for add-ins developed for this purpose. I believe the companies that you've mentioned are utilizing these 3rd party add-ins.

    Regards.

  • My first suggestion would be to edit the Standard Calendar to meet you requirements, as I'm not aware if "Persian Calendar" is added in any Language Pack.

The Language Pack for Project 2010 is available at :

    http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/details.aspx?FamilyID=cfec65b7-131c-440f-953f-43731fdabb8b&displaylang=fa

Secondly, may be you would have to create it pro-grammatically. You can refer to Project SDK or take a hint from Hijri Calendar Classes : http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/system.globalization.hijricalendar%28v=VS.80%29.aspx
