How to monitor that machine which is not member of domain? RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hi
I have one domain called abc.com with two sites in India and Geneva. Both nodes are connected via site-to-site VPN (windows RRAS). The machine which is using to connect the VPN are not the member of domain. I've configured SCOM monitoring in both nodes but unable to configure SCOM for RRAS server (which is not the member of domain, they have multiple nics with multiple subnets) but they are able to resolve the SCOM server name using ping -a 192.168.50.X same time port 5723 and 135 is working fine. Can you help me and let me know what may wrong. How to monitor that machine which is not member of domain?

    Immediate help will be appreciated.

  • Hi,

Please take a look at this thread http://contoso.se/blog/?p=706 , you will need to use certificates for authentication when the machines are not in the domain.
