Blue screen after enabling features for credential guard RRS feed

  • Question

  • I am trying to test out the new credential guard functionality on my laptop.  The hardware pre-reqs all look good and I setup the GPO which as state should install the Hyper-V hypervisor feature as well as the Isolated User Mode feature.  I can see in the setup log it sets the features to install and when it reboots it runs for awhile then reboots.  When it comes back up I get a BSOD with the message SYSTEM_THREAD_UNHANDLED_EXCEPTION for ACPI.SYS.

After that happens, I have to restore from a checkpoint to get back into the OS.  I've tested installing either feature and separately they both install and the system functions fine with just one of the features installed.  It's when I add the second feature and reboot/install that it fails on next boot.

My laptop is setup to automatically create a dump but nothing is being created and the event logs don't show anything.  I've tried searching online for that error but no one else seems to be getting it in regard to this.
