Monitor Won't Display RRS feed

  • Question

  •

At times my monitor will stay "asleep" when I start up computer.

Not always just every so often.

I left computer on overnight and woke up to find monitor "sleeping" but computer still running.

All tests showed normal, monitor is year old but seems to work fine.

I turn off and let stand for a bit and it comes back on no problems.

I'm running Vista Home Premium now.

    Never had problem with XP.

    Anyone else?

This issue can occur if video card was not wake up from hibernate or the video card driver needs to be updated. I suggest we temporarily disable hibernate function and check the result:

    1.    Click Start -> All programs -> Accessories, right-click Command Prompt and click Run as administrator.

    2.    Type the following line and press Enter.

    powercfg -h off

Let's see if the issue still occurs after disabling hibernate function.
