Surface pen model 1776 Surface pen tip is not working, but the eraser works fine RRS feed

  • I bought about a month ago Surface pro 6 and pen model 1776

    The pen stop working, but the eraser works fine, what to do?

    It looks like it stop working after Microsoft update 19xx

    I Did :

    Check the battery 1.49 vdc

    Remove and pair your pen again – didn’t Help

    Disable the pen in Device Manager – didn’t Help

    Reinstall the pen driver -– didn’t Help

    Perform a hard reset – didn’t Help

    Run the troubleshooter – didn’t Help

    Please your help,

  • If it's only a month old then you can claim warranty.The warranty on the pen is 1 year.

    If you are in the USA and go to a physical retail Microsoft Store and ask for the warranty.

    Do you mean the issue occur after you upgraded to Windows 10 1903?

    If yes, try to roll back to previous system version through Settings\Update & Security\recovery\go back to previous system version. Then check if the issue disappear.
