Hi Sid4563!
From your description, it seems that Microsoft Teams and Skype for Business 2015 client locate in different organizations.
In my research, if you want to
collaborate to Teams, Teams provide guest access allows teams to collaborate with people outside your organization. For more details about Guest Access in Microsoft Teams, you can refer to:
https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/microsoftteams/guest-access
Besides, you can also upgrade your Skype for Business 2015 on-premise to Teams by following these steps:
- Deploy hybrid connectivity for upgrading your users to Teams.
- move your users to Office 365.
As an organization with Skype for Business starts to adopt Teams, administrators can manage the user experience in their organization using the concept of coexistence "mode" which is a property of TeamsUpgradePolicy. Using mode, administrators
manage interop and migration as they manage the transition from Skype for Business to Teams. The following document shows different coexistence modes:
https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/microsoftteams/migration-interop-guidance-for-teams-with-skype#coexistence-modes
For more details about upgrade process from Skype for Business on-premises to Teams, please refer to:
