  • how do i fix a `Login failed for user '<username>'. Reason: The account is disabled. (.Net SqlClient Data Provider)` error?

  • Hi,

    Sounds like you'll need to check the login in SQL.  Open SSMS and go to the login part under 'security', go to properties on the user and check it is enabled.

    Could you please share us the detailed error message about your issue?

    Have you configured SQL Server to use mixed authentication mode?

    Currently, you could try to use following command to enable the user login:

    ALTER LOGIN username ENABLE ; 

    GO

  • Your password could be incorrect and getting locked out. You may need to reset it.
