Exchange 2007 MP RRS feed

  • Question

  • Where can I locate documentation that explains the values or acceptable values of these counters for the Exchange 2007 MP?  Example would be I/O database reads-writes/sec.  Now on my system I do get spikes intermittently but more importantly I am looking for documentation that explains the data in terms of me determining if I have an issue or not.

  • There is some information on counters and expected values here http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/bb201720.aspx that you can use as a start. Note that the MP may be using more permissive values in some instances.

  • Hi,

Try ask in the Exchange forum if you need info and documentation how to calculate what is normal for you or for Exchange in general. You can also get a baseline by review performance data from a week where you experience good exchange performance, and then change the thresholds based on the performance data for that week.
