[Questions] SteadyState Profiles RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hello everybody,

    First of all, great piece of software, It does what it wants, I like the Disk protection. I installed VMWare in order to create a simple workstation of Windows XP, Its running Service Pack 3 with SteadyState.

    I am currently testing own made software to start our own internet cafe, but i'd like to have some problems solved regarding SteadyState;

    • How can I remove Log off <user> from the start menu?
      A SteadyState profile is not a local profile, so editing, tweaking registery for this profile is unable.
    • From the start menu, click on Windows Explorer, It goes to My documents but tells you first that its restricted (duh), This is the same issue that you can't change the starting point of Windows Explorer to another location
      A SteadyState profile is not a local profile, so editing, tweaking registery for this profile is unable.

    Is it olso possible to give a SteadyState profile a proxy address setting?

    Thank you in order to help solving this issue's or atleast reply to this topic.

    Rick.
