MQSC adapter and Microsoft MQ Client with dynamic send ports RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hi all!

I would like to use the Biztalk MQSC adapter with the new Microsoft MQ Client on dynamic send ports. Is this possible? I can't find any property that allows me to dynamically configure "Use Microsoft MQ Client" = Yes. Or is this the default behavior when the IBM MQ Client is not installed?

When I test the MQSC adapter on a non existing queue with a dynamic send port and no IBM MQ Client installed, I get:

A message sent to adapter "MQSC" on send port "MQ_SendPort_519de0aa47d965ba" with URI "mqsc://CHANNEL/tcp/SERVER(1414)/QM/QUEUE" is suspended.

Error details: Could not load file or assembly 'Microsoft.BizTalk.Adapter.Mqsc.ImqWrapper.dll' or one of its dependencies. The specified module could not be found.

Indicating that the adapter is looking for the IBM MQ Client. With a static port set to use the Microsoft MQ Client I get:

"Provider Name="HIS Microsoft Client for MQ"

Connecting to a Queue Manager failed: Could not Connect the Queue Manager 'QM': Could not connect to the target Host/Port."

It seems that IBM MQ Client is the default or perhaps only choice when using a dynamic send port.

Would also appreciate any links to good HIS2016 documentation.

I've got Biztalk Server 2016 CU3 and HIS2016 CU1 installed. HIS2016 is configured with "Microsoft Client for MQ Only" = true."

    Best regards,

    /Johan

  • Hello Johan,

Currently, HIS 2016 Microsoft MQ Client does not support Dynamic Send ports.  It would definitely be a feature we would like to implement in future update.

  • I know this has been a while, but has this been added to HIS 2020?
