  • The game is very old. It's from 1999. Try to run it in the XPMode, maybe the emulated S3 card can run the game.

  • Andre was not referring to XP compatibility mode.

If you have Windows 7 Professional, you can use XP Mode (not the same as XP Compatibility Mode) to run software from XP inside Windows 7.  In fact, it's like having dual-boot, where the full Windows XP is literally running on your computer at the same time as Windows 7.

If you have Windows 7 Home, you can still get this same advantage, but you'll have to supply your own copy of Windows XP, it is only bundled for free with Windows 7 Professional.

Have you tired the XP Mode and not the XP compatibility entries?

  • I finally got it to work. I have had this game since I had purchase a diamond monster sound 3d card back in the day. I have Windows 7 64bit with 2 ati radeon hd 5770's in crossfire. This game doesn't like the newer gpus so I decided to play it in software mode. It works really well now. I don't know if maybe it is the version of the game I am using as to why I don't get the 95/98 error.

  • Hey jfarr,

What did you do to get it to work? I'm able to launch the game, but I'm getting crazy amounts of stutter and graphics problems. This is either in software or 3dfx, which I'm using a glide wrapper to make function. Unfortunately neither seems to work...

  • if you have an .iso file, open using Daemon tools and copy the entire set of files to a folder on your hard disk, then right click on the setup and choose "Run with Game Booster", well you obviously need to download that, I use Game Booster 3.5. Then install it normally.
Go to the game folder and again run the game with Game booster, the main window opens. If the graphics is all screwed up, go to the main window and select  "Software-gameZ" if "Accelerator" was pre-chosen

Run the game and go BFT!
