Unable to access site on SP Server 2013 RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hi all,

I have a done a restore of a SP Foundation 2013 database into a fresh database( WSS_Content_A) thru SQL management studio. I have installed SP Server 2013 on a different server(suppose server X) and I have added the content database (WSS_Content_A) from Manage Content Database in Central Admin. I have not added alternate access mapping configuration.

When I am accessing the site on the server itself (suppose, http://sp-web02), I am getting the error message '

    Correlation ID: 7712ad9d-767b-30e0-91e3-8caa2f913a10'

Why is it appearing as SharePoint Foundation when SharePoint Server has been installed. Is it the database backup which is causing this?

From ULS Log Viewer, the Correlation ID refers to this error message '

Exception trying get context compatibility level: System.IO.FileNotFoundException: The site http://sp-web-02:80/ could not be found in the Web application SPWebApplication Name=SharePoint - 80.
     at Microsoft.SharePoint.SPSite.LookupSiteInfo(SPFarm farm, Boolean contextSite, Boolean swapSchemeForPathBasedSites, Uri& requestUri, Boolean& lookupRequiredContext, Guid& applicationId, Guid& contentDatabaseId, Guid& siteId, Guid& siteSubscriptionId, SPUrlZone& zone, String& serverRelativeUrl, Boolean& hostHeaderIsSiteName, Boolean& appWebRequest, String& appHostHeaderRedirectDomain, String& appSiteDomainPrefix, String& subscriptionName, String& appSiteDomainId, Uri& primaryUri)'

Please help me solve this issue..

    Thanks

  • Hi,

Not to worry about the label "SharePoint Foundation" on the error description as its technical foundation name.

What I see here is, some of the files are missing from migration, There could be some custom application, master page, css or Javascript related file that part of the Custom Package might have to copied into newly created site.
