  • Question

  • Hi,

    here is my problem:

after updating my deployement share because we wanted to change the default username at the litetouch login. We have several computer that fail the installation at the ztidriver script. The big part of the problem is that it's not constant. Some time it work and it does all the installation and some time it crash. This problem is happening on multiple model.

Here's the logs concerning the driver part. Last line is were we have the error.

I've tried to regenerate the deployement share and it doesn't seem to have improve the situation a lot.

I'm injecting my drivers this way: http://adminnexus.blogspot.ca/2012/08/yet-another-approach-to-driver.html

    Thanks for you help

  • It look like it was a corruption or something like that our problem. I've recreated the share with the same files and everything seams good now. Thanks for your help

  • Can you validate that this file is present on your Deployment Share:

    \\mdt.cssh.qc.ca\mdt\Out-of-box Drivers\Net\E1k51x64_11.6.92.0_6A85DCB652DB64075C9FD0C8A3A770954AA9BA50\E1k51x64.inf

Also, no need to Update your deployment share for something like this.  Updating your Deployment share is normally for changes to Bootstrap.ini, WinPE options / features, new drivers / profile for WinPE injection.  Basically, things baked into the WinPE Boot Image, not stuff run from the MDT Share.

  • Thanks for your help.

The file is present on my deployment share.

The reason why I've updated the deployment is because the userid we put for the login was in the bootstrap when I started work on MDT. Maybe this could be somewhere else but it's working for now :P

  • ok so after a few test:

deleting the drivers with problems and adding them again->seem to work but the problem go to another driver....

we discover some problem with the bcdboot.exe also when the drivers were ok on the problematic computer....

we decide to try the installation of a new deployement share on the side and on another windows. for now none of the problem we had before(just started testing so the is a lot of stuff missing :P)
