SharePoint and HTML, CSS and javascript RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hi

I am not sure if this is the right place to ask this but.

I have made a SharePoint site for a section of the company I work for and have been running it for about 8 months now.

I am looking at doing a course in HTML, CSS and Javascript as I know it is used in SharePoint but can someone please tell me what the pro's and con's are ?

I have a little knowledge of javascript as i have used it for spotfire.

  • Hi

You can open the site collection by SharePoint Designer(the same version as your sharepoint farm).

Then create pages in site collection by SharePoint Designer.

You can upload js and css library in document library in SharePoint.

Then you can design your page with html/css and js.

I am having issues with the IT department at the moment trying to get SharePoint Designer as it is not a recommended business application.

I will find some more info to make a business case for the training i need :)
