Copy paste issue in IE 11 RRS feed

  • Question

  • Whenever we copy and paste a formatted text which has number and bulletins in it, the paste functionality losses the formatting of text and re-orders the numbers are 1,2,3 and 1,2,3 instead of 1,2,3,4,5,6. The editor is developed using ExtJs and the copy paste functionality is done through Java code. Please do need urgent help on this.

    Thank You,

  • Hi AnirudhLakshmeesh,

For the IE copy and paste issue, usually we could run IE in No Add-on mode. If this issue still occurs, please attempt to reset IE settings. If those methods don’t work, you can reinstall IE to check if this issue disappears.

But if you use are using ExtJs and the copy paste functionality is done through Java code. To help you better, I suggest you submit a new case on IE development forum as they will be more professional on your issue:

Or you could contact the ExtJs official support for help.

Hope it will be helpful to you

  • Thank you for the support. I tried reinstalling IE11 and did apply various security patches which has not solved my problem yet.

Sounds like you had two lists, each starting with a different number.  I don't think that use-case is supported...

Apparently it is possible in HTML 5.0

  • Hi Robert, let me tell the issue in detail

Consider the following text which is formatted

    A.      Main Heading 1

    1.       Item 1

    2.       Item 2

    3.       Item 3"

When i paste that text in IE11 editor the numbering format is lost. ie., 1 ,2 and 3 wil all be changed to 1,1,1 .
