Exchange 2010 Management Pack. Test internet mailflow.

Question
-
In Exchange 2007 Managemet Pack in SCOM I can configure Inter-Organization and Internet Mail Flow Synthetic Transactions. I can use Internet Mail Flow to test connectivity beetween my Exchange server and certain mailbox (for example google mailbox).
I can not find the same thing in Exchange 2010 Management Pack. Are there any solutions?

Hi,
The test mailflow configuration is not included in Exchange 2010 MP. For more information, you can refer to the following thread:
Exchange 2010 MP Test-Mailflow
Here are more information about how to use Exchange 2010 MP:

Hi Sergey -
As Vivian said, the Exchange 2010 MP is a different animal, the test mailflow bits are unnecessary with Exchange 2010. I confirmed with some other research that if you need that identical function you will need to author a custom management pack for that.
I pasted below the entire post of Tony Ma from the partner forum that confirms this information.
Good luck,

"Alex, as far as I know, Exchange 2010 MP no longer uses Test-Mailflow synthetic transaction to monitor mail flow as the Exchange 2007 MP does. I believe the mail flow monitoring now is done automatically in Exchange 2010 MP and no manual tuning is required.
But if you just want the Test-Mailflow synthetic transaction as Exchange 2007 MP did, there is no built-in MP template any more, and you will need to author custom MP.
Thanks!

Thanks for advice. Poorly that Exchange 2010 MP don't have that functionality. It's very helpful when trying to monitor mailflow with external mailbox.Monday, September 5, 2011 1:23 PM
