Windows server DHCP & DNS Server Not Resolving correctly RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hi, I recently noticed that my windows server, which is also used as dhcp & dns derver not resolving hoatnames correctly. for example, I have a PC named Graphic-6. It has no DHCP lease, but in DNS, in forward lookup zone, it has the IP address 10.0.0.32, which in DHCP is the address of completly other PC names Class-1.

    How can I prevent this?

Also, I see "holes" in DHCP leases, and some BAD_ADDRESS sometimes "The Address is already in use". Is there a way to prevent it? It's been that way for 5 days.

    Thanks

  • Hello,

It seems that there are some address conflicts in your environment.

There is a conflict detection function in the DHCP server to prevent this problem from occurring.

Use the arrow next to the number to toggle the number above to enable address collision detection. The number represents the number of times the collision detection was performed.

    Best Regards,

    Leon
