[R Server in Azure VM] Cannot connect after R Tools upgrade RRS feed

  • Question

  • All,

I have an R Server (or now Machine Learning Server) in Azure. It was installed as a template from Microsoft.

I was able to connect to a Remote Workspace using Visual Studio and the R tools but now that I upgraded my R Tools on my local client I am unable to connect to my remote R Server.

    The following error is displayed:

    Connecting to R Workspace failed.

Reason: Version of R Services on the remote machine (1.1.30627.1321)

is lower than the version of R Tools on the local computer (1.2.30905.1244).

Please upgrade remote R Services installation to match.

When I previously connected the VM displayed the following information:

    R version 3.3.3 (2017-03-06) -- "Another Canoe"

  • I have the same problem too! What is the link to latest R Services? Come to think of it, what is the web page to download R services?
