DVD movies won`t play in windows media RRS feed

  • Question

  • I copy a movie( not copyright protected) to a DVD everything seems ok but when I try to play it from my media center it says there is no disk in the tray. However when if I go directly to the file(on the DVD) and doube click it the video plays fine. I`ve also tried to play the DVD on other players such as a XBOX360 and a DVD player it still will not play the movie. I know it`s the correct format WMV. I`ve gone to device manager and all drivers are up to date. Also used the microsoft fix it and it didn`t detect any problem. Need help bad as been struggling with this for 2 wks

  • Hi,

Thanks for posting in Microsoft TechNet forums.

If it is re-writable DVD, there needs to be a way of allowing additional recordings to be added to the DVD later. You need to "finalize" your DVD if no more data added.
