    Does the BizTalk 2006 MP need to use the run as accounts (domain user) or can you use local system?

    Hello jb33zy,
    You can run the agent as local system but you got to have the right credentials to discover and monitor BizTalk.
    So you schould create a run as profile and account which targets the Biztak MP.
    Have a look at the Biztalk MP guide for the other configuration steps.

    Slight addendum to Walter's response.  For sealed management packs, you are not able to change the Run As profile that the workflows in the MP are associated with.

    The BizTalk MP does however ship with two Run As profiles (detailed at http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/cc655698.aspx).  One profile controls the credentials that are used for all discovery workflows and the other profile controls the credentials used for monitoring workflows.

    Two things:

    1) none of this is made perfectly clear in the guide (you *may* have to use the run as).
    2) no directions on how to do it. Object, group, etc??
