Migrating an ASP.net intranet to MOSS RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hello,

I have to migrate a ASP.NET custom made intranet to SharePoint. There are 2 main challenges in this project:

Migrating the discussion forums to MOSS 2007 without losing the users and dates of the posts.
Migrating a kinda of custom wiki page to MOSS 2007 without loosing the links among the items.

If anyone has any experience with doing this, I would really appreciate any feedback.  If there are tools out there capable of doing this, we don't mind buying them.

    Best regards, David

  • Hi David,

An option is to deploy your ASP.Net application to the LAYOUT folder of SharePoint which is “C:\Program Files\Common Files\Microsoft Shared\Web Server Extensions\12\TEMPLATE\LAYOUTS” and configure FBA for the web application. You need to modify the web.config file. Here is the details:

    Thanks & Regards.
