  • Hi,

There might be 3 main causes for this issue:

    1. The PWA URL set up in the MS Project is incorrect
    2. The PWA URL is not added to the trusted sites
    3. Corrupted MS Project cache on the computer having the issue

    Proceed as follow:

    1. Validate the PWA URL set up in the MS Profile account. For example: ‘https://servername:port/PWA’.
    2. Add the PWA URL to browser trusted sites: Internet Option -> Security -> Trusted Sites -> Site -> Mention the URL and click on Add button -> Ok.
    3. Procedure here to clear cache or advanced method here.

Finally if none of the above method helps, you can try this procedure in the registry.

    Hope this helps,

  • The comments are true, but it can also be a permission error.  I am assuming that the user has Project Manager role.  Temporary put the users in a greater role like PORTFOLIO MANAGER or ADMINISTRATOR and see if issue continues.  If this works, then a permission has been disable in one of users groups.

Check the permission "Logon onto Project Server using Project Professional"
