  • Had an occurrence where a user had a synced doc library which had stopped syncing...

Then she installed office 2016 and the sync started working again but it synced her local old copy and overwritten the master latest web version of the doc library - has anyone seen this happen before? o rknow how to restore a previous version of a team site?

  • Hi kegan1,

What is the meaning of “the master latest web version of the doc library”?

Do you want to restore a previous version of the file in the document library?

If you have enabled version control for the library, you can restore a previous version of a file.

    1. Open the library.

    2. Select a file, and click Version History under File tab on the ribbon.

    3. In the Version History dialog, hover next to the version you want and click the down arrow on the right side to get a list of options. Click Restore.

Read the following article for more information about restoring a previous version of a file in SharePoint:

  • Hi Linda - the users local synced sharepoint doc library that hadnt been syncing for months on installing office 2016 started syncing again and replaced all the latest files in the doc library with the old versions from her local synced version.

    Cheers
