User unable to respond to Service Request - Implied Permissions RRS feed

  • Question

  • I understand that with the Implied Permissions model, users should be able to authorise Review Activities that they are named as a Reviewer on, without needing to be in any specific roles in SCSM.

This does not seem to be working correctly for my client.

When users are named as a Reviewer, the task appears in their activity list in the Self-service portal, but when they try to vote they get an error message "Your Activity Update Failed" and the following is logged to the Event Log on the server:

Event ID 26319. An exception was thrown while processing ProcessDiscoveryData for session ID uuid:<guid>Exception message:

The user AD\<username of the user> does not have sufficient permission to perform the operation.

Is there anything we need to do to get this working, or are we misunderstanding how Implied Permissions is supposed to work?

    This is System Center 2012 R2, 7.5.3079.504
