Cannot find MSPWAPROJUID field RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hello,

We are running Office 365 E3 Plan having Project Online.

We have a PWA instance where we created a custom list to create projects through it.

We tested the creation of the project in Project Center via this list successfully.

However the issue is that we need to know the ProjectUID that it has created while creating project in Project Center.

I was trying REST api and SharePoint Designer workflow but couldn't find MSPWAPROJUID or any such field that can be used to identify the project.

Is there a field or column that can be used?

    Regards

    Tanzim

  • Hi Tanzim, are you triggering a Project Online workflow, and in this moment you'd like to know the Project Uid?

if so, Project Uid will be part of the native Workflow Constants

  • Hi Tanzim, you can use a Project Server workflow to capture the ProjectUid. You first save the SharepointId to a temp list, and a Project Workflow will capture the pending SharepointId, and associate the ProjectUid with it.

  • Hello João,

We are initiating this process from SharePoint custom list. There is no Project Server workflow as of now.

Moreover before going to the Project Center or its workflow we need to update the SharePoint custom list. Hence we were seeking a way where we can update the list by the IDs.

Currently we are making sure which one has been promoted project is by Yes/No box.
