Windows Server 2008 Std/Ent MAK B RRS feed

  • Question

  • Is Windows Server 2008 Std/Ent MAK B or Windows Server 2008 Std/Ent KMS B considered an Enterprise version? If not what is the Std/Ent from the License Details website?
We are trying to get over 4GB of Ram and hopefully not having to purchase a 64-bit '08 version.
    Thanks in advance

  • Hello Glueck,

The Std/Ent means those keys work for either Standard\Enterprise, they also work on either 32-bit or 64-bit versions, both of which should be available from the Volume License website.  The MAK B key is probably the one you want to use, the KMS B is used to setup a KMS host machine that will then activate other Windows Server 2008 KMS clients Enterprise sku or lower as well as Windows Vista KMS clients.
