  • Question

  • hello

we have a problem. We define the default save path example D:\TEST

    close word start word.

then create a new document and click save - the path is correct D:\TEST

then we open a old document from other location example x:\ABC and click save as...

then create a new document and click save - and the path is x:\abc

  • When you do a Save As on an existing document, Word will always suggest the folder where that document resides. You should create a new document based on a template instead.

  • Hello Tony, hello Stefan

    please can you test anything?

    1. change default save path under options save (example c:\temp)
    2. create new document - click save - save dialog show c:\temp
    3. open any recent document - click save as  - save as dialog show old path (example m:\xyz)
    4. create new document - click save - save dialog show m:\xyz - and this is not correct - i think this is a Bug

That's just Word trying to be helpful, because it knows which folder is the current one for this session.
