Reuse IEAK 9 settings on new version of IEAK 10 or 11 RRS feed

  • Question

  • We spent a significant amount of time customizing our current version of IE9 for a major desktop deployment of Windows 7 about a year and a half ago.  Is there a way to reuse those settings as a baseline for new versions of IE?  It would be a very tedious task to go through all of that again when we have the data.

    Thanks

  • The IE10 and 11 admx files are back compatible. (I believe Corporate Branding has been removed though....this does not affect IE10/11 and earlier versions of Ie on your networks should not be affected... (the user profile.ini's will still have the entries in them).

there are new security settings for xss (cross site scripting)... but the defaults should be adequate.... where you have links to third party external websites from you intranet you should add those site to the Intranet or Trusted Sites lists in GPO editor.

By default EPM is switched on for the Internet and Restricted zones (32bit activeX architecture is used) so your intranet sites can continue to use 32bit ActiveX on your Intranet sites.....

IE10/11 admx contains new entries for IE5 Quirks mode compatibility lists... you will need to add intranet sites that are still reliant on xml Data islands or MS behaviours to those exception lists (or update the markup and scripting to modern standards).

To view any error messages (xss warnings, mixed content or tracking protection blocking).

    f12>Console tab, refresh the page....
