  • Has anyone gotten this application to work?

It installs OK, the hardware device manager sees the phone, attached via USB, but the 2 do not connect. I cannot sync my contacts.

I have my my Moto RAZR v3 & MPT running successfully on Vista RC1. I downloaded & pointed Vista to RAZRv3 drivers from http://forum.osnn.net/showthread.php?t=84111 and then configured the MPT application to run in Windows 2000 compatibility mode and to run as Administrator. This seemed to do the trick and now the phone syncs properly with MPT again.

  • As yet i have not been able to get MPT to work on Vista. The lack of software supporting the use of Motorola's on Vista was what made me change back down to XP. I will be re-installing Vista on my new PC soon and will give the Application Compatibility Tool a shot and see if there is anything advanced from there.

From what i have been able to gather, not all of the required drivers install properly when you try and install the phone onto the computer. This isnt a broadly  talked about problem in the communities i frequent [Motorola Modding and Upgrading forums] so i cant deal much more information than that. If there is an XP machine you can run MPT off then it would be the easiest way to get a decent sync for your contacts. Beyond that, i dont know.

Sorry i can't help much, but hope ive shed some light as to why it doesnt work.

  • This forum is for the Application Compatibility Toolkit (ACT). I am moving your thread to the Vista Applications forum where they might be able to provide more guidance
