MMC Snapin error

    Question

  • I have 2 DC's both Server 2012R2 fully patched and with the latest updates, both are identical. DC01 & DC02

I have setup a central store for using GPO's and I have checked that both SYSVOL folders on the local servers are identical. When ever I use GPME on DC01 it launches fine and I can edit GPO's but when I try to expand either User or Computer configuration & the Windows Settings folder I get an error with the snapin. All other folders open with no errors just this folder, I can select to ignore and carry on.

However more worrying is when I have checked out a GPO on DC02 I can see that there are more configuration options in the settings for the GPO on DC02 than DC01 and I'm worried that users depending on the DC they are logging onto are not getting the correct settings.

I have checked all of the status for the GPO's and the servers and they are replicating ok.

    Kinda stumped now.

    Thanks Steve

That's kind of a "unqualified description". What error exactly?

    > DC02 than DC01

Screen shots could do a great job in explaining your issue. What options
    do you see/not see?

  • Hi Steve,

Are there related errors in Event Viewer?

If yes, please post these errors for further research.

    Thank you,

    Jay
