  • We have a windows 2003 server and use AD - our machines are winXP.   Is there anyway multiple users for one machine can login to the domain BUT have a generic local machine login?  We have students and need them to login to access their H drive to save/open documents BUT want the local machine to see all of them as a local user "student" to run the apps.  When Office is opened, it goes through "installing and configuring" for each new person the first time they use it.  Also in XP a folder is generated in c:/documents and setting/ with a user name for each user.  I want to prevent that.  With a Novel server, users have 2 logins.  You  login to the domain then need to login to the computer, and run apps that way you have access to your h drive but do not have to go through the Office config stuff.  Any help/hints?
