OWA and domain.local\username login RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hi,
I've just configured Exchange 2010 and publish it through TMG.

OWA is working inside and outside, but during entering credentials I must enter domain.local\username and valid password. I'd like to enter just username and password. How to setup that? Do I need to change OWA publishing rule on TMG (what) or / and authentication on Exchange (where)?

  • No. From internal and external network too I can only use domain.local\user (that works). When typing just domain name there is an error "user name is not valid" or something like this...

Set-OWAVirtualDirectory -Identity "owa (default web site)" -LogonFormat username -DefaultDomain “Your Domain Name”

  • Hi,

You will need to enter your domain in the SSO properties of the web listener configured for OWA, configured in TMG. The text on the FBA page is probably still saying that you need to fill in your domain\username but username only is sufficient. You can actually customize your FBA page on the TMG. Information about how to do this you can find at http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/bb794733.aspx.

    Good luck!
