need a more informative website for "Windows SteadyState" RRS feed

  • General discussion

  • This is a complaint about the SteadyState website...

While the website is estheticily pleasing and easy to navigate; it has very little useful information.

It is pages of prose describing by I would want to use "Windows SteadyState".

....pssst!!!  I already know why!  ...otherwise I would not have spent the morning searching to find and read the SteadyState webpage.

Please consitter cutting down the "why use SteadyState" part and increase the technical information part:

    • How does it work?
    • What is protected and what's not?
    • How much granularity will I have in controlling what modifications are retained and what are restored to previous state?

P.S. All  through your website, you have "Watch a quick Demonstration of what SteadyState can do"

    [i.e. http://www.microsoft.com/windows/products/winfamily/sharedaccess/demo_player.swf]

It doesn't demostrate a single thing! Just another person telling that I need "Windows SteadyState".

The only positive that I could find on your website was a link to this forum [kudos!] and this page -> http://www.microsoft.com/windows/products/winfamily/sharedaccess/support/windowsdiskprotection.mspx
