How to Allow All Users to Run W10 Task RRS feed

  • Question

  • I am trying to run an application via a W10 Task shortcut on the desktop. Doing this to avoid the UAC warning that gets generated otherwise.

The shortcut works for the user that created the task but when I change the Security Options to try and make the task executable by another local or domain user I get an Access Denied error.  I am trying to allow any user that logs onto the machine to run the shortcut.

I have read about SDDL settings in the registry but have been unsuccessful in sourcing how to modify them, other than some scripts. I would prefer to modify the registry manually.

    Any suggestions would be appreciated.

    Thanks >> Joe
