TSWeb simply does nto work with IE10 on Windows 8. RRS feed

  • Question

  • This is REALLY killing me.

My company uses tsweb to allow remote connectivity. If I use an XP machine from my house I can connect just fine. As soon as I try Win8 with IE10 all I get is "the logon attempt failed." Yes I am using the correct credentials because again, with an xp machine on the desk next to me it works just fine. WHAT is going on?!?

EDIT: Tried with Windows 7 using ie10 AND ie9... same thing, doesn't work. So does this only with with XP or is it an earlier version of IE that it only works with?

  • Hi Core

Please try to use compatible mode to connect :

Open the Internet Explorer ,click F12 key, then change the Brower Mode as “Internet Explorer 10 compatibility view”.

If it doesn’t work ,try other Brower  mode.

    Best regards,

    Karen Hu

  • Hi,

you need to have the RDP ActiveX control installed.

To use TS Web Access, client computers must be running RDC 6.1. (RDC 6.1 [6.0.6001] supports Remote Desktop Protocol 6.1.) RDC 6.1 is included with the following operating systems:

    • Windows Server 2008
    • Windows Vista® with Service Pack 1
    • Windows XP with Service Pack 3
