IE6 vs IE11 problems RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hello,

    I have a problem.

I recently updated a workstation to IE11 as one of our programs requires IE 10 or above to work properly. that is fine.

the problem now is that we have a secondary link that was using IE6 and it runs fine in IE6, after my upgrade to IE11 it does NOT load the page properly.. missing bottom page fields.

I copy and compare all active settings, trusted sites settings... etc.

    What else can I do?

Can I use 2 different IE versions on windows 7?

You can try using the Developer Tools Emulation tab to simulate an IE6 browser session.  But W7 never had IE6 so you must already have been doing some kind of emulation.  E.g. Compatibility View (Alt-x b) would be a possibility but that only simulates an  IE7 session doing its IE5 Compatibility mode.  Another, better alternative is to use Enterprise mode but I'm not sure where that stands regarding W7.  Anyway, it would definitely be an option for any W8.1 or W10 users you may have.

    FYI
