How to reset my MFA settings for my Azure Admin account RRS feed

  • I Have uninstalled MS Authentication app now unable to login to my Admin console. I have installed the app again but it is not recognizing the the latest app. 

    I have gone through the articles but none of them were helpful.

  • Hi,

    You need to contact to other admin(Global account) and he needs to disable the MFA settings of your account, then only you will able to login to your admin console. Request you to follow the below mentioned steps:

      • In the multi-factor authentication page, check the box next to the user or users you want to manage.
      • In the user info pane on the right, you'll see two options: Enable and Manage user settings. Choose Manage User settings.          

      • In the Manage user settings dialog, check one or more of the options: Require selected users to provide contact methods again, Delete all existing app passwords generated by the selected users, or Restore Multi-Factor Authentication on all remembered devices.           

    1. Click Save.
