Per user message sending size is not precedence of globally configured one. RRS feed

  • Question

  • Dear all,

As searched from technet and some other technical articles on the web, they claimed the message sending size per user in AD should be preceding to the one globally configured.

However, it seems not the case here in my organization, any though?

    Thanks,

    Joe

  • Check the individual user(s) and check settings. This happened to me once. Our global retention for deleted items was set for 14 days. There were few users whose settings were manually configured. Please check...

  • Hi
This is example from other site. It can help you to learn limilt.
       --------------------------------------

    Org Limits(Send/Receive):           20MB

    --------------------------------------

    Barbara Mbx(Send/Rcv lmt):      40MB

    Mark Mbx(Receive lmt):                               40MB

    Dean Mbx(Receive lmt):                               Not Set

    --------------------------------------

    Send Connector lmt:                      20MB

    --------------------------------------

    --------------------------------------

    Receive Connector lmt:                 20MB

    --------------------------------------

    Scenarios:

    ----------

    1.Barbara[40MB] -> Mark [OK]

2.Barbara[40MB] -> Dean [Blocked by Org lmts]

3.Barbara[40MB] -> External Rcpt [Blocked by Org lmts]

4.Barbara[20MB] -> External Rcpt [Passes Org lmts] -> [Passes Send Con lmts] -> [Sent]

5.Inbound[20MB] -> [Passes Receive Con lmts] -> [Passes Org lmts] -> [Barbara Rcv lmt] -> [OK]

It's only effective internally, not sending out externally.

Where are you sending the message and what are your limits set to Globall and on the mailbox and on the connectors?
